Through out the history of serialized TV series TV networks have baited viewers into committing our selves to long term plots only to have to endure countless instances of unresolved plots. As a consumer I think these networks should have a legal responsibility to provide suitable resolutions to any serialized program that has lasted longer than 1 season regardless of ratings.
