Dear President Obama,
We have a government that is supposed to be "by the people and for the people." Us, the citizens of the United States, elect our Representatives, Senators, and Presidents under the basis that they will create bills and enact laws that we ask for and will be in our best interests. In this regard our Congress and our elected representatives have failed us.
The overwhelming majority of American citizens want stricter gun laws. At the minimum people should be required to pass federal background checks and people who are on the "No-Fly List" should not be allowed to purchase guns. Since Congress rejected a bill asking for this we ask that you issue an Executive Order in order to protect the citizens of the United States.
