John Arthur (Jack) Johnson should be posthumously issued an executive pardoned by President Barack Obama. JACK JOHNSON (March 31, 1878 – June 10, 1946) became the first African American world heavyweight boxing champion (1908 -1915) during the Jim Crow era. Congress created a racist law in order to stop Johnson's rein in boxing. The Mann Act of 1913 was created against Jack because he was "transporting women across state lines for immoral purpose ". The white woman in question was his girlfriend and became his wife. The sentencing judge admitted desire to "send a message" to black men about relationships with white women. Poli-Tainment, Inc. has started a petition to finally right a wrong committed against this U.S. citizen by our government. This act would undo a legal wrong.
