Since 1973, abortion has been recognized by the US Supreme Court as a legal medical procedure. The recent influx of state laws regulating such irrelevancies as width and height of doorways and hallways and other architectural aspects are designed to further safety or improve services, but to make it economically impossible for existing clinics to continue functioning. As such, I urge President Obama to issue an executive order for a blanket cease and desist of all extant laws intended to defy the Supreme Court's 40 year old decision, and further urge the President to pass a federal law declaring any similar future laws null and void, as they clearly violate Equal Protection in singling out abortion providers to the exclusion of other medical/dental services.
