US Military recruiters are barred from being allowed to carry any type of weapon on duty because of federal laws prohibiting the presence of weapons in federal offices and vehicles. With the recent terrorist attacks against Marine Recruiters in Tennessee we must act to allow our recruiters the opportunity to protect themselves. The President and Congress must take action to help safeguard the lives of our servicemen and servicewomen. They need an exemption that allows these highly trained personnel to arm themselves against domestic terrorism. Furthermore, we need to enhance security measures in the offices and vehicles in which they operate.
