A safety lock system created for all schools that would be installed at every main entrance. The bulletproof cubicle would provide a check in point for all visitors. Sensors would clear any persons of firearms, metals, etc. This unit could be monitored by the guidance office, school administrators, or even approved volunteers. The resources for these measures could come from a budget established by Homeland Security in conjunction with US Defense.
Further funds could come from a National Penny Drive, wherein each state Governor would do public service announcements urging all U.S. Citizens to donate pennies and receive a tax deduction matching the contribution.
After every school K-12 had a safety lock system in place, funds could continue to be raised for collegiate level institutions.
