Issue free standardized photo IDs that satisfy the requirements in some areas to show photo ID before voting.

Created by M.A. on October 28, 2014

With the advent of "voter ID" laws, and the controversy surrounding them, it has become obvious to me that we need something that will satisfy both sides of the issue. We need to ensure that everybody who is eligible to vote can do so, but we also need to make sure that they only do it once (per election), and we also need to make sure that those people who are not legally eligible to vote are prevented from doing so.

It is for that reason that I petition the federal government to provide photo IDs free of charge to anybody who is eligible to vote and does not already have another form of photo ID such as a driver's license. Such an ID card could be used by those people who don't have a driver's license as a universal ID to vote, receive medical care, apply for government services, etc.
