During his campaign for the Presidential election, candidate Barack Obama was explicit in his intent to help whistleblowers - "Barack Obama will strengthen whistleblower laws to protect federal workers who expose waste, fraud, and abuse of authority in government. Obama will ensure that federal agencies expedite the process for reviewing whistleblower claims and whistleblowers have full access to courts and due process."
President Barack Obama has reneged on that promise and allowed the imprisonment and torture by solitary confinement, of Pfc. Bradley Manning.
This petition asks that this President keep his campaign promise and issue a full pardon to Pfc. Bradley Manning for his heroism and patriotism in exposing the horrendous crimes of the US Army in Iraq.
