In order to support the 2nd amendment as written by the founding fathers the US government should issue one muzzle loading single shot .75 caliber musket to all able bodied adult Americans and provide training in its use in order to support the intent of the 2nd amendment to allow for a well run militia. These weapons would be stored in state armories and be issued to participants during monthly training sessions in order to ensure their proficient use.
