The country of Kiribati is currently making plans to evacuate all citizens from their home island due to climate change. Unpredictable shifts in tide levels and weather are destabilizing the living conditions of this island county. If changes continue at the current rate it will eventually be unlivable. The government of Kiribati is purchasing land in Fiji to allow a staggered migration from their homeland. The US should show its support for this country and also bring light to the issue of climate change by issuing a number of visas to citizens of Kiribati.
