In June 2013 Russia enacted a series of laws banning "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations", which has widely been interpreted to be an attack on gay rights movements in Russia, and is a clear violation of human rights and the freedom of speech. As our country is founded on the principles of freedom of speech and expression, we must issue an official condemnation by the U.S Government to Russia to make sure these rights are given to everyone.
