Issue pardons for all non-violent marijuana possession and distribution offenders.

Created by J.D. on January 12, 2012

Persons who have received felony convictions for marijuana possession are rendered permanently unemployable for most meaningful jobs and lose fundamental rights (such as the right to vote).

It is unconscionable that our country continues to treat these people as though they were true criminals. President Obama admits to having used marijuana frequently, yet lives in the White House. Republican Mitch Daniels was found in possession of "12 shoe boxes" of marijuana in 1971. Yet, these people have managed to rise to the heights of power, while great numbers of Americans languish due to felony charges for similar "crimes".

ALL marijuana felons should be pardoned and given the same chances in life as Mr. Obama and Mr. Daniels.
