Print all new, and reprint all existing, Social Security cards on a plastic base the same as most Part D and Supplementary insurers use. This will be far more durable and lasting to carry than the current paper cards. At the same time, redesign the SS card to credit card size so that it will actually fit in a wallet or card case without trimming.
