Asian-Americans have significantly enriched this country in the fields of entertainment, politics, military service, education, literature, and many others.
Despite this record of achievement, the U.S. Postal Service has never issued a postage stamp recognizing any individual Asian-American, an honor which has become routine for many other groups. In fact, the USPS. and its Citizen’s Stamp Advisory Council seem to be dead set against such a stamp. They continue to ignore requests by many members of Congress asking that such a stamp be issued.
The USPS issued twenty stamps last year commemorating Harry Potter! No wonder they don't have time for an Asian-American Stamp.
I urge the administration to take whatever steps are necessary to correct this long standing oversight.
