So many awesome people step up to raise and love children that aren't theirs. And, tragically, those kids are often unavailable to honor them on Mother's Day or Father's Day because they are with their biological parents.
That's not a dig at the natural parents. Many times they are awesome in their own right. I just think that, for example, my wife deserves a special day with my older two children.
