Issue a proclamation supporting a nationwide National Anthem Sing at sunrise above Fort McHenry, on September 14, 2014.

To gain Presidential support for a nationwide National Anthem Sing to mark the 200th Anniversary of the moment when Francis Scott Key awoke and saw that the U.S. flag still flew over the battered ramparts of Fort McHenry, after a furious bombardment by the British during the War of 1812. We seek Presidential support for a signal to be sent at dawn from Fort McHenry to Philadelphia, where the Liberty Bell will be tapped as an audible signal to commence a nation-wide bell-ringing, and the singing of the National Anthem in cities, towns, villages, schools, military ships and installations, wherever Americans are gathered, to mark the bicentennial of the birth of our National Anthem.
