Issue a Public Statement opposing any Change in the Senate filibustering rules known as the "nuclear option"

Mr. President, We respectfully petition you to issue a public statement saying you are against the "nuclear option" in the senate. The filibuster is a cornerstone of our Republic. The Founding Fathers put it in place to protect the rights of the minority against tyranny by majority. I opposed it when the Republican controlled Senate talked of it and I oppose it now. Think Mr. President, how it would be when your party is in the minority? The Senate was created to mimic the Confederation Congress under the Articles of Confederation and was kept in the Constitution to make sure that the minority would not become mere spectators. Defend the rights of the minority, Defend our founding principles, defend the Constitution you swore on Monday to Protect, oppose filibuster reform.
