Thousands of American citizens and legal residents are currently going through the long, expensive, and frustrating process of obtaining immigrant visas for our family members.
We are forced to live apart from our wives, husbands, or children for a year or more during this process. Some, including myself, are forced to leave the United States and our careers to live with our loved ones.
Still others already went through this long, expensive process and eventually obtained immigrant visas for their loved ones. Granting amnesty to those who bypassed this process is effectively spitting in the face of legal immigrants and their families. To right this wrong please refund all expenses incurred by legal immigrants, or require the same payment and a penalty before granting illegals amnesty.
