Society has devolved to the point where it is now justifiable to assault law enforcement officers. Instigating or escalating force against a LEO is wrong. You don't have the right to assault them if they disagree with you, or if they won't listen to your excuses, or if they question what you are doing, or if they make eye contact with you, or if they decide it is necessary to arrest you. They have a necessary job to perform for the safety of our citizenry. There are checks in place to assure that they perform their duties lawfully and ethically. It is time to stop blaming LEO for the consequences from the actions of irresponsible people. The Whitehouse and Attorney General need to send a clear statement that the use of force against a law enforcement officer is never justifiable.
