Since the fin de siècle, brunch has made a strong comeback worldwide. In America, distracted by the onslaught of WWII, brunch crept into our homes and weekends. It has torn apart the very fabric of what it means to be American.
We the people believe in three solid meals. We believe that productivity is greater than a weekend without breaks. Breakfast and Lunch can, AND SHOULD, be two separate, yet equal components to the day.
Every US president since Eisenhower has made a statement about brunch, yet President Obama has remained quiet on this urgent issue.
