issue swift condemnation of NYC mayor Bloomberg and the NYPD for their use of force to suppress free speech.

Created by M.O. on November 15, 2011

In the early morning hours of November 15, 2011, the NYPD, acting on orders issued by Mayor Bloomberg moved to suppress the rights of citizens engaged in peaceful protest.
They established a no-fly zone to prevent news copters from documenting the actions of the police and kept the press far away from the park, in violation of the 1st amendment.
Bloomberg and the NYPD must be held accountable for their disregard of the basic freedoms of US citizens, but they are effectively above the law in NYC.
We request that the President ensures that Bloomberg and the NYPD is no longer able to deny citizens their basic rights.
