Have the State Department flex some foreign policy muscle over Dubai and the United Arab Emirates deplorable treatment of women and rape as demonstrated by its prosecution of Norwegian Tourist Marte Deborah Dalelv and other women (both foreign and local). Issue a travel advisory for Dubai and let this government know that treating women as human beings instead of objects or property is not okay. Demonstrate that the United States is committed women's rights and freedom or the next female tourist who gets thrown in jail after she is raped will probably be American and maybe your wife, daughter or sister as the UAE government thinks that the American government in general and this Administration in particular is too spineless to stand up for social justice for women in the rest of the world.
