Persons hoping to make a decision about a product, candidate, or proposal, are often misinformed by ads, particularly on TV, which stretch the truth, avoid important information, mislead, or outright lie, in a misguided attempt to sell said product, candidate or proposal. Such ads should be limited to truthful statements only, but those statements may not be used to mislead. (such as "Denver schools got nothing" The other part of that true statement is that the Denver school district DID NOT APPLY for the funds in question; the intent of the ad is to mislead by inferring that no monies were available.) Opinions would be acceptable as long as they are strongly identified as such.
