We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

It is time to put an end to The Cuban Adjustment Act (CAA), Public Law 89-732.

Created by C.A. on December 07, 2016

The cuban adjustment act is long overdue, giving Cubans who enter the United States automatic parole just because of their nationally, regardless of their political position. Whether they support the Cuban regime or simply because they want better oportunities, Cubans are allowed to received tax payers benefits such as food and medical assistance, and after a year, they can apply for permanent residence and return to Cuba. It is a very unfair and discriminatory law to the rest of the nationalities as well as to the American citizens who need the same benefits.
Under the present immigration law, any citizen from any country may apply for political asylum by proving they are politically persecuted, therefore, Cubans have the means to apply if they need to.
