It'll be fair if rent paid for an apartment is deductible. The current tax law discriminates against apartment renters.

Created by W.S. on January 06, 2015

The US law and government should treat equally its people regardless they rent an apartment to live in or they buy their own house with mortgage to live in. The current law gives most of house owners tax deduction and incentive but never give apartment renters any tax benefit in terms of family's housing expenditure.

A family's housing cost should be deductible equally and in a fair manner in the both apartment renters and house owners. The current tax system discriminates against apartment renters.
