Job Corps is a great program that helps young people who need and want help to change their current situation. I attended Job Corps and it helped me get on the right track. I was crushed when I read the following post on their facebook.
Important! As a cost-savings measure, new-student enrollments are suspended until further notice effective January 28, 2013. Exceptions will be made for applicants that are homeless, runaways, or in the foster care system. Please check back to this site on a weekly basis for information about when this suspension will be lifted.
If we are trying to help keep our youth safe why are we focusing on guns and not helping those who are reaching out to a program for help and now have to wait? Can't we focus on getting Job Corps reopened for those who want help.
