Job creation and Investment by U.S. Multi-National Corporations

Created by D.O. on October 26, 2011

Change in tax law to allow Corporations to bring profits from overseas operations back to the United States without paying taxes if they re-invest the money in the United States in plant and equipment and new job creation. They would have 1 year to indentify the project and jobs and 4 years to complete the project. The allowable non-taxed amounts would have to be re-invested 100% in new plant and equipment and new jobs with a $20K allowance per employee for the first 4 years. This would encourage corporations to bring jobs back to the United States. This would take zero tax dollars because the money is now in overseas accounts and is not being taxed. It will stay overseas and be invested outside the United States if corporations are forced to pay taxes on it when it is repatriated.
