Did you know there was an alumni organization for countries that used to be part of the British Empire?
It turns out it doesn't force its members to follow a specific set of laws; it's really more of an honor system, as far as I can tell. That's not to say it's completely pointless. It not only works toward world peace, it even has its own quadrennial games! Think about all the cricket we've been missing out on*!
I think it would be pretty cool if we joined this Commonwealth thing. It's not exactly going to hinder our Hard Won Freedoms, after all. We'll just get to hang out with all the cool kids.
* Apparently they only played cricket in 1998. Can't imagine why.
