In 2012 my friends and I were out metal detecting in a wooded area near Stuttgart Germany when we stumbled upon the crash site of an American bomber from WWII as well as human remains. We reported the crash to the American agency responsible for recovering the remains of our fallen hero's the Joint POW accountability command (JPAC). They informed me that the site had already been evaluated in the late 1940's and all the human remains had already been accounted for and would not be re-evaluated. Unlike JPAC I cannot stand by idly while the remains of a fallen hero lay in a foreign country rotting away. I hope that enough people will sign this petition and it will force JPAC to do their job and recover the remains of this Airman and bring him home to American soil.
