Jury Nullification as a right for all jurors in all states

We ask that the President does everything within his power to require states to honor Jury Nullification. Jury Nullification is the right for jurors to acquit a defendant even though the evidence shows that they have committed a crime. This right had been practiced since and before the founding of the United States and continues to be practiced in some of our states today. Laws do not always apply to all circumstances and are sometimes completely wrong. For example, Jury Nullification was used by the North to acquit people that were helping slaves gain their freedom prior to the civil war. Some states today will remove a juror from deliberation for simply mentioning this right. This is both an attack on justice and on the rights of the people.
