Ten-year old Victoria Martens was supposed to celebrate her birthday with a princess party. Instead, the evening before, her mother, the boyfriend, and his cousin brutally drugged, raped, stabbed, and set fire to her little body. The boyfriend, who had a previous felony child abuse conviction, was supposed to have been on supervised probation for other crimes. The cousin, who had a previous rape case against her should not have been released from jail. Her mother, who should have protected her child, stood by and did nothing.
