The government claims that juveniles do not have the mental capacity to make critical decisions such as smoking or drinking alcohol or even voting for the people who will represent them in government. The government should not be allowed to criminally charge juveniles as adults under any circumstances. And any changes to the law prohibiting such injustice should be made retroactive to include any and all people who have been charged in the past as adults for crimes that took place when they were still juveniles.
