The Secretary of Health & Human Services leads the agency which controls nearly all aspects of health care in America. A doctor could do this important job much better than a former shill for the trial lawyers. Kathleen Sebelius served as executive director and chief lobbyist for the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association from 1977–1986. Then she ran for elected office in order to directly oppose tort reform. America is the only major country which lacks a "loser pays" legal system. Those who falsely accuse a doctor of malpractice should reimburse the doctor, if innocent, for the cost of defending a lawsuit. Without such tort reform, true healthcare reform will never be possible. Sebelius has always opposed the tort reforms we need. Give her job to a qualified physician.
