The A-10 Thunderbolt has served the USAF for so many years. And it has a good reputation.
However, Mr. Hagel said the US will replace the A-10 with the F-35. This is unreasonable that A-10 performs better than the F-35 in CAS. If the A-10 is out of commission, I doubt the US will have enough power for CAS mission.
Also, the cost of an A-10 is much cheaper than a F-35. The firepower is better than F-35 too.
So I hope the USAF can keep the A-10 in the arsenal.
