The A-10 Warthog has been a good friend to us. Many Americans are in Afghanistan and depend largely on this plane. The A-10 Warthog has been in many wars and very reliable. It has been successful and it deserves more service years. More logic: the B-52 Bomber has been in service even longer than the A-10 Warthog. The A-10 Warthog also created jobs as well. The A-10 Warthog is much different from other planes and much slower and heavily armed. If we remove all the A-10 Warthogs, it will take some time to get the retired pilots to adjust to the new helicopters or supersonic fighter jets. This will not only cut cost, but may actually increase costs and drive us deeper into dept.
