Keep the 2008 campaign promise and Recognize the Armenian Genocide.

While running for President in 2008, President Obama promised to recognize the Armenian Genocide. The Armenian Genocide was the first genocide of the 21st century starting in 1915, where the Ottoman Turks lead the Armenians on death marches as well as systematically killed them. Many of the events from the Armenian Genocide were done again during the holocaust and continue to be done in modern time. By not recognizing the past and holding Turkey responsible the United States is saying genocide will not be punished. This petition is to force the Obama administration to keep their promise and finally recognize the Armenian Genocide.
