The arts in schools are an outlet of self-expression. Taking them away from our student's is unfair and irrational. Budget cuts somehow seem to only affect the arts departments and never the sports teams (which are just as important). Some of today's youth rely on the arts to keeps them in school and out of trouble much like the Boys and Girls Clubs and the YMCA/ after school programs.
