Common core is a government standard for schools, mostly in the area of language arts and math. States should develop their own curriculum. The government shouldn't control the standards because of the power it gives them. Citizens can choose what state they want their child to learn and thrive in. The less power the government has, the more power is left to the people. The more power the people have, the more freedom.
