A Marine POG (Persons Other than Grunt or POUGE: Personal Operating Under a Garrison Environment) does a necessary job inside of the Marine Corps. However, as a collective they cause much strife and disillusionment among Marines that actually fire their weapons outside of training.
Marines are known for busting down doors, not busting out staplers
Marines are known for filling the enemies of America with lead, not filling up gas tanks
Marines are known for putting fear into the enemy, not for putting paper in the shredder.
There are many POG jobs in the Navy so the move will only require a change of clothes for the individuals concerned.
I believe that Marines officers lead from the front so you can start with the Commandant and work your way down.
