The bi-annual switch to and from Daylight Savings Time is wasteful, dangerous and pointless.
Studies have shown that losing an hour of sleep once a year has caused the following impacts:
-An estimated $434 million of lost productivity, weakening our economy.
-An increase in deadly car accidents due to less light during business hours in the Winter.
-A 10% increase in heart attacks following the Spring time change.
-A link between forced time changes and a 2% disadvantage in SAT scores compared with students from countries without required time changes.
For the sake of the America's people, economy, health and safety, we ask the administration to push to repeal the mandatory time change and remain on Daylight Savings Time as a standard year-round.
