Keep the Traditional Definition of Marriage by Saving the DOMA!
Please sign this petition and prevent the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) from being repealed. The Supreme Court is currently deciding, in Windsor v. United States, whether to repeal this federal law which defines marriage as a union of one man and one woman (Sect. 3 of the DOMA) and forbids same-sex couples from receiving marriage benefits (Sect. 2). If this law is repealed, then same-sex couples will be federally considered as “married” and serious long-term and short-term consequences would come to our country as a result!
Sign this petition today and fight for the traditional definition of marriage!
