Wages for servers havr been unfairly low for years. While the income of resturant owners and mangers increase servers, bartenders and cooks by have stayed the same.
For most resturants in the country servers are the lowest paid staff in the resturant. And are unfairly treated by management and owners. These are the people that take care of there customers with a smile. Now this is not to say that all owners or managers are the same but its time for a fair wage for all servers. The hourly wage of $2.13hr is a slave labor wage when you asked to clean bathrooms, mop floors, wash dishes, bartend, host and pay credit card fee's on the TIPS that there guest leave them for a job well done.
These are just some of the issuse with the resturant industry. But overall its time for a pay increase.
