Keep the Electoral College in place

We the People mandate Congress and the President of the United States to keep the Electoral College in place. Our founding fathers feared tyranny and misrepresentation so much that they would not allow a national popular vote reflecting large metropolitan areas to overwhelm the will of rural and suburban America. We are a Constitutional Republic, not a MOB-RULED direct democracy. Rural and suburban Americans will not be drowned out by the highly populated metropolitan cities, as if they are more important. We also ask Congress to publicly explain the importance of the Electoral College and how the College works, in order to ease the current tension in America.
