Keep evolution as part of the Science curriculum but include a mandatory religion class as well.

Created by B.P. on September 22, 2011

Many argue that creationism should be taught alongside evolution in middle and high school Science classes. The problem with this is that religion is faith-based and science is based solely on fact and theory, whether people agree with what is taught or not. To further educate students and to leave them with choices and an open mind, they should be taught both evolution and creationism in unbiased and separate classes. A religions class would help students benefit by teaching them of other beliefs and it will help to build an understanding of why people believe what they do in other cultures and religions. Students will be able to fully understand both evolution and creationism and decide which is right for them. Teach them what they need to know and give them choices of what to believe.
