Keep families together/ Don't let domestic violence separate mothers from children

This petition is important because to many families are being punished instead of helped due to domestic violence. Their are many cases where children are being removed from their homes because a parent his being abused. These children end up in foster care suffering from more trauma, and different types of abuse which causes some mental, and emotional problems that they were'nt exposed to prior. These children sometimes come from a drug free, working family, and they are snatched from their homes and made to believe that their family doesn't love nor care about them which isnt the case in most homes. Especially when the department of social services can do more to help the parent by using different resources to get out of the dv relationship and then protect the children and themselves.
