Keep families together by removing the wait time of 2.5yrs for people in the F2A category of Green Card.

Created by V.K. on January 27, 2013

Green card holders in the United States cannot marry a person from Outside United states and bring them to the U.S.A for at least 2.5yrs because of the huge backlog in the F2A category for Spouses from India, China, Mexico and Philippines. This is really taking a toll on the families and the government need to either create a new VISA for spouses of Green card Holders from these countries to come to the United States while their F2A VISA application is pending or remove the backlog of 2.5yrs all together so that families can be together. Creating a new VISA category like the K-2 VISA would really help keep the families together if the backlog of 2.5yrs cannot be reduced or removed.
