(Please note: this is not just a petition to "undermine" or "discriminate" against the LGBT community.) There currently exists a ban on blood from gay people if they have had intercourse within aprox. 9 months. This is due to the risk of HIV-A. Which you are over 60% more likely to get if you have intercourse with another man. Then the entire body has at least a piece or two of HIV-A and the blood is transferred to a patient, now they have pieces of HIV-A and a greater risk to get HIV-A if they have a weak immune system. The cycle continues and continues. This is why we have a ban... Prevention.
