Mr. President we petition to keep "In God We Trust" on U.S. currency and "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. "In God We Trust" was adopted as the official motto of the United States of America in 1956 and should stay the official motto. The phrase "Under God" has been in the Pledge of Allegiance since 1954 and should stay in the Pledge of Allegiance. These mottos/phrases are the cornerstones of our nation and are important to many citizens of the United States of America.
