Keep Harriet Tubman On BOTH Sides of the Twenty Dollar Bill

Created by M.R. on April 20, 2016

The United States Treasury recently made the decision to put Harriet Tubman on a new twenty dollar bill. While that's a huge move forward for both African Americans AND Women alike, they also have decided to keep Andrew Jackson on the back of the bill. There's no reason that Jackson needs to remain on the same bill. It serves no purpose, and seems to further enforce the fact that a woman cannot stand on her own, recognized for her accomplishments, yet alone a woman who was a slave, with a slave owner on the same bill.

Please petition the Treasury Department and Chairman Jack Lew to remove Jackson completely, as we have plenty of other women and men who have built this country that need to see their sacrifices recognized with the currency that we use every day.
