Laws only keep honest people honest. Dishonest people are not going to listen to gun control laws therefore gun related deaths will only rise in numbers if you take the guns away from the people who will use them for good.
As it is concealed pistol license carriers have to go through extensive background and mental health checks to make sure that they are stable enough to handle owning and carrying a concealed pistol on their person. Open up the restrictions on CPLs and allow these people to carry their guns where they currently are not. It could save countless lives. One gun in the hands of a good person is enough to stop one gun in the hands of someone else.
